The CT-40 was
conceived to be much more than a digital darkroom timer. In addition to being manually
programmable, by using an expansion interface and optional probes, the
unit could function as an exposure meter, electronic digital thermometer,
and ph meter. For process timing, several different pre-programmed
modules were available for specific processes such as C-41, E-6, and Cibachrome.
