The compact B600 enlarger was introduced
to provide a low price point enlarger for the home darkroom to compete
with the small domestic and foreign entry-level enlargers appearing on
the market at that time. For simplicity and convenience, no lensboard
was required: the lens stage was threaded for 39mm thread lenses. The
colorhead version of the B600 used the Chromega B Dichroic lamphouse, but adapter kits were later available to retrofit the C-700
or C760 Dichroic lamphouse.
Since the
later C700 enlarger was based many of the same components, negative
carriers and accessories are the same as for the C700.
Used Advice:
Since the B600 has so many parts in common with the C700, it can still
be fully serviced without problem. |
