Building on the
acceptance of the compact SCA-100, Omega introduced the SCA-300 a year
later, at which point the older Chromegacolor and Chromegatron Pro-Lab
analyzers were discontinued. The new unit used the latest in electronics,
including a digital display, to provide a professional quality unit. The
probe incorporated 3 separate silicon cells with dichroic filters acting
as beam splitters. Interchangeable memory modules allowed the user to
preprogram for different materials or processes.

Used Advice: These
units have proven to be reliable and stable, but probes are easily broken
if dropped, and difficult to repair. Replacement probes are unavailable. |
